Swami Ram Govind Das
Swami Ram Govind Das is a Hindu spiritual leader, teacher of Sanatan Dharma, and author, born on 15 December 1983 in Haldwani, Uttarakhand, India. He is widely recognized as an exponent of the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam and a scholar of Vedic astrology, dedicated to sharing the timeless wisdom of India’s spiritual traditions with contemporary society.
From an early age, Swami Ji demonstrated a deep inclination toward spiritual life. At the age of 14, he embraced the path of the ancient sages of India and devoted himself to the study of sacred scriptures and spiritual discipline. During a pilgrimage in Rishikesh in 2003, he had the privilege of meeting the revered saint Swami Ramsukhdas Ji Maharaj, who blessed him with the teachings of the Śrīmad Bhagavad Gita and bestowed upon him the name Ram Govind Das, guiding him firmly on the path of devotion. He also received the blessings of the distinguished Ramanuji saint Swami Pundrikaksh Ji Maharaj, gaining deeper insight into the teachings of the Śrīmad Bhāgavatam.
Swami Ram Govind Das has undertaken extensive pilgrimages across India, visiting many of the nation’s most sacred sites, including the Char Dham, the twelve Jyotirlingas, Kailash Mansarovar, Tapovan, and Muktinath, among many other revered places.
Today, he travels widely across the globe, sharing the universal teachings of Sanatan Dharma and the spiritual heritage of India with audiences across the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, Europe, Australia, New Zealand, South America, and Africa.
Deeply committed to social harmony and humanitarian service, Swami Ji advocates education, equality, and dignity for all, while raising awareness against social discrimination and injustice. His charitable initiatives include several welfare programs for underprivileged communities, including the mass marriage of 111 girls from economically disadvantaged families.
